DaringHart13... Pray tell, please, can you figure out, why after enjoying themselves, in JW sin, people think they have to turn themselves, in???

I asked my (ex) elder husband, this question:

The WT Society says if you are "practicing sin", you can be disfellowshipped .

So to be practicing , it had to be more than "once".

So my question to my ex was...

What is considered once?

Having sex once or

Going away and having a wild weekend once or...

Having a boyfriend and seeing him steadily for one year, (or more) as in having only "one" affair with "one" person. lol

when rutherford assumed the presidency of the watchtower society he instituted series of sweeping changes to the teachings and practices of the bible students.

some of these changes were at complete odds with what had been taught previously.

a key example was the elevation of the watchtower society as "god's visible organization on earth".

How many times have we had the door shut in our face with "The Watchtower? No thank you". lol

Now it is: "Knock, knock. JW.org, here". "Oh, what is that?" as an honest hearted, but innocent and lonely householder takes a tract. Bingo for WT/GB/JW.org.

I look forward to what this Oct 2014 annual meeting "reveal" will reveal. lol

What happens after you get the registered letter?

my friend's daughter, who was baptized at 14, has decided to leave the witnesses.

she's in her early 20's.

she's stopped going to meeting a while ago and moved in with her father who is disfellowshipped.

My (ex) brother-in-law got a registered letter way back in 1971. He had committed the "dirty" with his new blonde girlfriend, who he did marry after getting rid of my sister. He ignored it, saying that the JW religion means nothing to him. He said, Why should I go to a JC and tell those jerks anything?

So yes, he was DF in absentia.

I called him over 10 years ago about some family matters. He mentioned to me about Beth Sarim. I knew a tiny bit about it, but I wished he had told me more, or reminded me more about the ridiculousness about it. He just said, You know about Beth Sarim don't you? I said yes. End of conversation.

He called his ex, my sister, or else he talked to his son, my nephew and told them I had called. My sister called long distance to my Elders here, saying I had spoken to a DF'd person and that I, LoisLane , should now be disfellowshipped ! lol lol My Elder's reply was, We do not want to get involved in any family squabbles. lol lol

it's great to see the jw.org tract in june, 2 months before the rank and file jw gets their eye on it.

jwn is always actual.

sitting here in the summer sun, drinking my coffee in the early morning, i got a memory about the co, who visited our former congregation in 2007.. it was the moment we decided to begin our fade and exit strategy.

PS Let's be honest here. The people behind JW.org have a lot of issues they have to deal with. Where to hide the money. How to get more of your money. How to continue to confuse millions of people by changing doctrines and words so that they don't wise up and leave (taking their money with them) AND How to make you think you are going crazy because didn't WT say the Internet was bad just a few years ago... And now they have this cheap piece of paper, a tract, that they are supposed to waste their time, energy and their 4 door car and gas on, knocking on people's doors, where most people are not home, as most normal people are at work or play, or working at home and do not want to be disturbed... Just to inform you how you can connect to an internet religious info page??? hahahahahaha lol

watchtower publications were included in the record.. one item from something that was like a "kingdom ministry" that caught my .

attention was a notice about box tops!.

OP March 1, 1952 Watchtower: Does anyone have any idea who wrote this??? This was a public distributed magazine. Who ever wrote this has serious mental issues, a huge ego and rants like a maniac.

They act like what they say, makes them god, to reign over people , to hold life and death in their hands. To make people fear them. There is nothing in that article to make anyone think they represent a Christian Charitable Society.

Hey, 3rdgen, I hear you! lol

I had a party at my house, over 100. It was a "Costume Party" (Not Bible characters) Lots of fun. We had a live JW band from Pomona that sang "Louie Louie" many times. Oh what fun we had!

Our dance floor was hopping! I was dancing. Yes! Even to the Temptations singing "My Girl". The neighbors told us later how much they enjoyed hearing our party.

The local Police showed up at their regularly scheduled time of midnight to tell us to crank the music down a bit. Some of the neighbors might want to sleep! lol
